PCI Level 1 Inspector

An SSPC PCI Level 1 Inspector must possess a basic knowledge of protective coating industry standards and the use of inspection equipment and be capable of:

• Implementing and recording all inspections as required
• Verifying instrument calibration
• Performing hold point inspections

PCI Level 1 Inspector Renewal Term

All PCI Level 1 Inspector students must re-certify in the fourth year from their initial certification date.

Renewing PCI Level 1 Inspector Certification

PCI Level 1 Inspectors are required to complete and submit to SSPC a Renewal Packet every four years. Renewal packets containing a Renewal Letter, Attestation, Work Experience Form and DAC acknowledgement forms are sent to the last known address 6 months prior to the renewal date.

To renew at the PCI Level 1 Inspector level the candidate must

• Document a minimum of 750 hours of coatings inspection (or related) experience as it occurs during the four-year certification period
• No detrimental disciplinary actions

• $250.00 PCI Level 1 Level Inspector Renewal at Member Rate
• $450.00 PCI Level 1 Level Inspector Renewal at Non-Member Rate
