Ask SSPC

Looking for Answers? Ask SSPC is a unique service that provides objective answers to technical questions concerning protective coatings. There are several ways to Ask SSPC.

Coatings-talk
Coatings-talk is an open e-mail list to which any person looking for quick, objective answers and practical solutions - from an array of industry practitioners of coatings, linings, floor toppings and surface preparation -- may subscribe. Coatings-talk will be monitored by SSPC's technical staff, so we may provide factual information to address a subscriber's question, when appropriate. To subscribe, see the Coatings-talk FAQ.

SSPC Reference Desk
Contact Heather Bayne at bayne@sspc.org or 412-281-2331, ext. 2224 (fax: 412-281-9992) and ask your question. If she can't answer it, she'll put you in touch with someone who can.

SSPC provides photocopies of SSPC papers, and JPCL and PCE articles. She also performs customized searches on the topic(s) you choose using SSPC Library resources and/or commercial databases. Find out more about Information Services.

Technical Questions from the Reference Desk

Each month a question and answer from the reference desk is posted here. This month's question discusses is a discussion on the surface preparation and coating of glass-lined tanks. As of September 2002 viewing the archives of past discussion became a feature of the Members' Only section. View a list of past discussions. Information Services for Individual Members

SSPC members are entitled
to a free photocopy of one article (between 1 and 15 pages) per year delivered in the U.S. JPCL and PCE articles, as well as SSPC proceedings papers and non-copyrighted documents are available through Information Services.
