Disciplinary Actions Against SSPC Certified Contractors
The Disciplinary Action Criteria (DAC)
establish procedures and rules for issuing warnings to SSPC certified
contractors; putting
firms on probation; conducting special unannounced audits; and
suspending and revoking certification of contractors when critical
faults have been reported and verified. Listed below are recent
actions taken against SSPC certified contractors found to be in violation
of the DAC.
2007 QP Suspensions and Disciplinary Actions
1. Reglas Painting Company, Inc. - SSPC has suspended Reglas Painting Company, Inc.'s QP 1 and QP 2 certifications effective October 1, 2007 through to January 1, 2009.
2. Spensieri Painting, LLC - SSPC has suspended Spensieri Painting, LLC's
QP 1 and QP 2 certifications as of March 14, 2007, pending a successful
follow-up audit by May 24, 2008, for inadequate audit evaluation item
scores.
3. Olympus Painting Contractors, Inc. - SSPC has suspended Qlympus Painting Contractors, Inc.'s QP2 certification effective May 29, 2007, through June 27, 2007, for inadequate audit evaluation item scores.
4. Pittsburgh Coatings, Inc. - SSPC has revoked Pittsburgh Coatings, Inc.'s QP 3 certification as of September 25, 2007, for not meeting QP 3 audit
administrative requirements.
5. UHP Projects, Inc. - SSPC has suspended UHP Projects, Inc.'s QP 1 and QP 2 certifications effective September 19, 2007, until a successful follow-up audit is conducted, for inadequate audit evaluation item scores.
6. Certified Painting Company, Inc., Alsip IL- SSPC has suspended Certified Painting Company, Inc.'s QP 1 and QP 2 certifications effective October 12, 2007 for in adequate audit evaluation item scores.
