SSPC Congratulates Williams Specialty Services, LLC
for Achieving QP 8 Certification
SSPC is pleased to announce that Williams Specialty Services, LLC, of Stone Mountain GA, is the first coatings contracting company to meet the certification requirements of the QP8 program, a national certification standard for companies providing installation of polymer coatings and surfacings on concrete and other cementatious surfaces.
The national pre-qualification program, is a service that evaluates the qualifications of contractors hired to install polymer coatings or surfaces on concrete surfaces in commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities.
To be certified under QP 8, the polymer coating or surfacing contractor must have demonstrated competence in the following to properly perform substrate evaluation, repair, and treatment; surface preparation; and installation of coatings and surfacings over concrete-based substrates:
- management procedures
- technical knowledge
- quality control procedures
- personnel qualifications
- safety, health and environmental compliance programs
