The Center to Protect Workers' Rights
CPWR's main focus is to develop practical ways to improve safety and health for construction workers and their families. Hazard alerts on worker exposure to lead, silica, noise and solvents are available in English and Spanish. As the research, development, and training arm of the Building and Construction Trades Department and the construction unions in the AFL-CIO, CPWR works with more than 30 organizations nationwide.

Coating Alternatives Guide (CAGE)
A pollution prevention tool for small- and medium-sized businesses and state technical assistance program representatives. CAGE is an expert system and information base designed to recommend low-emitting alternative coating technologies to coatings users.
CONMAT

National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP)
Conducts research in acute problem areas that affect highway planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance nationwide. Research findings are published in the NCHRP Reports series and the NCHRP Synthesis of Highway Practice series.
 
National Shipbuilding Research Program, Advanced Shipbuilding Enterprise (NSRP ASE)
Co-funded by NAVSEA and the shipbuilding industry to manage and focus shipbuilding research and development funding on technologies that will reduce Naval ship construction and repair costs. The Technical Panels, such as the Surface Preparation and Coating Panel, serve as the primary public forum for industry-wide networking and technology transfer.
