SSPC Launches New Advisory Council Initiatives for Asia-Pacific (SSPC APACAC) and Latin America (SSPC LATAMAC)

SSPC: The Society for Protective Coatings announced today the launch of two new Regional Advisory Councils to support the global growth of the organization in the Asia-Pacific and Latin America protective coatings and linings markets. The SSPC Advisory Council for both regions will be made up of volunteer SSPC members and comprised of nine (9) representatives with an elected Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson. The councils will reflect the organizational demographics of the SSPC Board of Governors, with no more than two representatives from the following demographics:

  • Facility Owners
  • Industrial Painting/Coating Contractor/Paint Shop
  • Coating Manufacturers
  • Coating Material Suppliers
  • Other Product Suppliers (associated with the coating industry)
  • Service Providers (coating related inspection, specifications development, Engineering)
  • Government (ministry, military, labor)
  • Academic (university, college, trade/technical school)

The goal of both councils will be to support the mission and global initiatives of SSPC and establish a valuable link and provide relevant market intelligence on the needs of the protective coatings and linings industry in Asia-Pacific and Latin America.
