Self-Stratifying Coatings – The Next Generation in Performance

Summary:  This paper describes waterborne acrylic coatings with self-stratifying technology designed to enhance color and gloss retention. The various analytical methods used to verify stratification are reviewed. An overview of performance testing is used to demonstrate how this technology can contribute to a longer life cycle and lower overall project costs.
