Disciplinary Action Criteria (DAC)

Disciplinary Actions Against SSPC Certified Contractors

The Disciplinary Action Criteria (DAC) establishes procedures and rules for issuing warnings to SSPC certified contractors; putting firms on probation; conducting special unannounced audits; and suspending and revoking certification of contractors when critical faults have been reported and verified. Listed below are recent actions taken against SSPC certified contractors found to be in violation of the DAC or other program requirements.

2011 QP Suspensions and Disciplinary Actions

SSPC has suspended Hiller Systems, Inc.'s QP1 Certification effective January 7, 2011 for inadequate audit evaluation item scores.

SSPC has suspended Scott Derr Painting Company's QP1 Certification effective December 17, 2010 for inadequate audit evaluation item scores.

SSPC has suspended G C. Zarnas Painting Company, Inc.'s QP1 Certification from 8/2/10 - 8/1/11 for violation of the Disciplinary Action Criteria.

SSPC has placed VHP Enterprises, Inc. on probation effective July 15, 2010 - July 14, 2011 for violation of the Disciplinary Action Criteria.

SSPC has revoked Five Star Painting, Inc's QP1 and QP2 certifications as a result of a verified critical fault of the SSPC Disciplinary Action Criteria and finds them, or any affiliated company, ineligible for QP Certification effective May 1, 2010 through April 30, 2011.

SSPC has placed Classic Protective Coatings on probation beginning May 29, 2009 - May 29, 2011 for violation of the Disciplinary Action Criteria.

SSPC has revoked Fine Painting's QP1 and QP2 as a result of a verified critical fault of the SSPC Disciplinary Action Criteria and finds them,
or any affiliated company, ineligible for QP Certifications effective March 16, 2009 - March 15, 2011.
