Thick-film and thin-film intumescent coatings are frequently specified to protect the integrity of the steel during a fire event. They are commonly used in passive fire protection systems. Proper installation is paramount to achieving the specified fire rating and long-term performance. This one-hour presentation will feature three mini-topics all related to intumescent coatings, including various types and keys to proper installation (Steve Dobrosielski, J. B.
