DID YOU KNOW?
In 1950, the Steel Structures Painting Council was born out of the need for corrosion protection from representatives in the steel construction, and paint manufacturing industries. 70 years later, SSPC: The Society for Protective Coatings is now the leading source of information on surface preparation, coating selection, coating application, environmental regulations, and health and safety issues that affect the protective coatings industry worldwide.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Coatings + is comprised of protective, marine, and industrial coatings programming with Technical Sessions and Workshops focusing on surface preparation, application, coating formulation, testing, inspection, and green coatings solutions. SSPC training and certification programs are offered in conjunction with the event, SSPC standards committees meet, and prime networking opportunities abound with a 100,000 square foot trade show featuring 150+ exhibitors.
Registration will open in September 2020.

The COVID-19 pandemic has forced businesses and society as a whole to adapt at a fast and innovative pace over the last few months. No one is certain what the future holds, but we are optimistic that, as we make our way through the rest of 2020, face-to-face meetings will begin again in a safe and effective manner. SSPC continues to plan for Coatings+ 2021 to be held as scheduled, with all of the necessary safety precautions and guidelines as set forth from the CDC and other leading health organizations. That being said, depending on how the public health crisis is looking as we continue through the summer months, SSPC will plan on moving the annual conference into a virtual space for 2021.
If you are interested in exhibiting or being a part of the technical program, but are unsure about public gatherings in the future, or do not currently have the budget for 2021 events, please reach out to us. We still want to compile the best possible technical content and vendor resources for our annual conference. We are able to work with all budgets, and in the event large public gatherings are still not feasible in early 2021, SSPC has every intention of moving the conference into a digital space so our members can still get the quality education, networking, and shared knowledge we are committed to providing.
We will not have any definitive answers for some time, but rest assured we will be transparent and communicative as the year goes on. Thank you for being a valued member and customer of SSPC.
