Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania – SSPC is pleased to announce that LIUNA Canadian Tri-Fund, a current C7 and C12 training licensee, has added the Concrete Coating Application Specialist (CCAS) program to their license agreement and will be offering the training in Canada.

The CCAS program was released in July 2019 and is designed to teach coating applicators the important skills they need to successfully complete concrete coating project work. The course provides a comprehensive overview and practical hands-on training for craftworkers who wish to be trained and certified in the application of coatings on concrete surfaces. It provides vital knowledge regarding health and safety, quality control, concrete composition and durability, concrete condition assessment, concrete repair, concrete surface preparation, and concrete coating application.

With the increased use of concrete in construction, there is a greater demand for employers to hire talented, experienced concrete coating applicators. The CCAS program enables students to set themselves apart by enhancing their skills and knowledge and enables the industry to protect critical concrete infrastructure by using the most qualified workforce.
