SSPC Awarded 5-Year GSA Contractor for Training Programs

November 13, 2019

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania – SSPC: The Society for Protective Coatings is pleased to announce they have been awarded a GSA Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) 00CORP Professional Services contract by the US General Services Administration effective September 27, 2019. The five-year contract provides federal, state and local government agencies with the ability to cost-effectively and efficiently purchase SSPC training and certification programs.

SSPC delivers globally recognized training and certification programs for protective coatings professionals. These programs provide the skills necessary for blasters, applicators, inspectors, engineers and project managers to successfully implement corrosion protection solutions that extend the life of America’s critical public and military infrastructure.

“We are here to help our government customers navigate the training landscape and get access to the advanced programs they need to ensure quality painting projects and asset integrity” said Jennifer Merck, SSPC Director of Training & Certification. “We have extensive experience providing these programs to the US government, having worked directly with the Department of Defense for the past 10 years. We are excited to offer these programs through GSA to continue working with DoD as well as other agencies who are working to prevent corrosion.”

Prior to awarding a GSA Schedule contract, GSA carefully screens vendors to ensure their capabilities meet high standards and that their services are fair and reasonably priced. The base period of performance runs through September 26, 2024 with potential of three (5) year options to follow.
