As most SSPC members are aware, the organization has been in discussions with NACE International for several months regarding the possibility of joining together to create a new combined organization to support the coatings and corrosion industry.

On February 1, 2020, the SSPC Board of Governors voted unanimously to approve the proposed combination of NACE and SSPC, and to send the question to the SSPC members for a member vote.  On March 14, 2020, the NACE Board of Directors also voted unanimously to approve the proposed combination, and to send the same question to NACE members for a member vote.

As a result, both organizations will send out a ballot to their current members starting on April 3, 2020 and ending on April 17, 2020.  SSPC will also be sending voting instructions via postal mail for those members whose SSPC records do not contain an email address.

In order to vote on the SSPC ballot, you must be a current member of SSPC as of March 31, 2020. Please ensure that your membership is current and your information is up-to-date by logging into your SSPC Account.
