SSPC Receives DoD Contract for 2021 Training and Certification COVID-19 Safety Requirements Document as Live Training Returns

SSPC is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a contract by the United States Department of Defense (DoD) to provide protective coatings training for DoD and military personnel in 2021.

The funding is being provided by the DoD Corrosion Policy and Oversight Office and can be used by personnel from the DoD as well as the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard to receive training in the fundamentals of surface preparation and protective coatings. Under this contract, potential students can choose from a wide selection of SSPC coatings courses related to various components of protective coatings projects.

Funding is available on a first come, first served basis, and the deadline to register for each class is 21 days prior to the course start date.  The funding covers the complete cost of each course, including registration and any required materials, however travel and incidental expenses are not covered.

The new contract is in effect from September 30, 2020 – September 29, 2021.
